Description Suggest change

A really neat area which opened recently. The climbing is on private property, but the landowners welcome the public, offer seminars, cabins, and their toilet! The climbing is best in Spring and Autumn, but the north-facing crags are fine even in the heat of summer and the south-facing crags are possible in winter.

There are several sectors here offering everything in the way of grades. The routes are all bolted well, and the trails to the crags well-established.

Despite this, the area only has one crag which is stroller-friendly: the Hauswand. The whole area is kid-friendly with a babysitter, but I wouldn't come here without one.

Getting There Suggest change

Take the 470 from Behringersmühle to Tüchersfeld. Right at the entrance to the village (yellow road sign) there's a turn-off to the left to Kohlstein. Turn here and park in the hiker's parking lot on the left (look for the board with the hiking map).

From here, take the road on the other side of the road uphill for about 100m to reach the Seminarhaus/cabins. Further directions will be given in individual crag descriptions.
