Independence Pass- One Strike Your Out
|
So the weirdest thing happened up at Olympic today. My friend, Karen, and I went to get on our project and 3 out of her 5 draws on the route were gone. I don't understand it, and am guessing that it was by mistake. If you happened to come home from Independence Pass during August 1st -9th with 3 extra quick draws after climbing "One Strike Your Out" could you please return them. PM me, no questions asked. She works hard so she can play hard and is super bummed to have those disappear off the route. Thanks for your honesty!! |

Before this ends into another 10 page worthless topic and all the bashing that will happen, I would recommend reading the post above. You might decide to delete your original post after. |

Jan, I am simply asking if anybody saw the draws or accidently brought them home with them. The link you posted is an accusation that draws were stolen. I don't believe that to be the case here. |

best guess is thedy climbed as far as they could to the 4th and then took the others lowering. or the route that connects and then did it. |

I hope you get your draws back. |

Climbrchick - I was there (last Saturday) and can tell you firsthand what happened. My wife and I climbed the route (nice to use yer draws, thanks). Another two guys climbed it, left a draw on the anchors by mistake. then two dudes from Basalt? Carbondale? Got on it and I said it might be nice to retrieve the anchor draw for the other folks. I got absorbed belaying my wife on something else when I realized they stripped the ENTIRE route. I strongly then suggested that they climb the route again and fully equip cause thats what you should do but they apparently only put back on what they could reach with the stick clip (ours is really long). Bummer, we left and I was hoping they would do the right thing and put the high ones on from a route on the left. |
