OK ok I know you're thinking "Idaho? Who cares?" Well to tell you the truth we Idahoans enjoy flying under the radar. HOWEVER this coming weekend two of the best in the West are attempting to run all of Idaho's tallest (that's 9 mountains over 12,000 feet). The first to climb all 9 for speed happened in 1995 and it took 8 days. The current record holders are Dave Bingham and Rob Landis who in 2005 ran all the 12ers in 38 hours 50 minutes. GOOD LUCK LUKE AND JARED!!

I think they shave it down to 28 hours. Still to think about all the scree they have to run over! Another thing to consider is the lack of trail. Most of the "running" is class 3 scrambling. What I am not sure about is how much of the route they have done. If I were them, I'd walk/hike much of the route before hand just to make sure they don't get off route. We will see.
