Description

This is labelled as it was the probably route of the first ascent. The spire was climbed via a bolt ladder on Mental Hopscotch and then this crack from the ledge to the summit.
Its actually a short little pitch and could be linked with one of the routes below with good rope management. The anchor on the summit is set up to send you down the southwest face.

Location

From the ledge above the north face

Protection

A few pieces of various sizes... perhaps a had size cam and a few smaller ones would suffice.

The super short flake before the summit was really fun! I only wish it was longer. I don't think I would consider this a trad route, There are two junky old pins and two bolts. Totally sufficient for a sport lead. I took a single rack and regretted hauling the weight up there. If you can lead any of the lower pitches, you will feel totally comfortable on this route without gear.
