Hello! As mentioned in the title of the article, I'm looking for a winter partner. What my skill set looks like is I've been climbing for 6 years? I'm 23 years old, I climb mainly trad, ice, aid, and mountaineer. These are my sports. If it's summer I'm on rock, and winter I'm on ice. My abilities are in the range of WI4-5 on ice. And 5.10-11 on rock with gear. I enjoy winter mountaineering and alpine excursions. I'm conditioning myself for some sweet fun this winter and next summer possibly an attempt on El Cap. What I look for in a partner is someone who would be interested in doing some high altitude climbing/mountaineering. This winter I'd like to do Black and white on the black wall, some routes in RMNP, pikes peak, and many like it. I also do enjoy cragging at the ice nearby, it doesn't always have to be an adventure. I've been dry tooling quite a bit to get ready also if people are into it. I'd love to be able to climb with people who can teach me some stuff, as I've only had about two winters on ice. I love trying new things and going after big goals. I'm very open-minded and appreciate a good time :). Really hope to hear from some people soon.
I know that I'm not exactly what you're looking for but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway haha. I just moved to Colorado and am interested in ice climbing this winter. Since I don't have any previous ice climbing experience, I'm looking for a mentor of some sorts. Someone who can show me the ropes and teach me the basics. I will have all weekends off so I'm able to devote a good amount of time to the sport and am willing to travel. I know that teaching someone can be exhausting especially when you're trying to strengthen your own climbing skills, so I completely understand if this is a no go for you.
