Ice climbing boot fit question

I love my 44 LS Nepal's for fit and performance but I ordered some Asolo Eiger's to save weight and have a less warm boot for fall ice climbing in the Sierra. The 43 and 1/3 Eigers fit me well, but the way they are designed, the sole is about 1.5 cm longer than my Nepals. I do notice the extra length walking around the living room.

I am wondering if the extra length will be a problem either on approaches or front pointing, where it might put more leverage and strain on my calfs?

I had some Trango Extremes, but they were to narrow in the forefoot for me.

I'm willing to bet you'll get used to the extra length honestly. I've demoed boots that all felt different as far as length and it never seemed to give me any issues when swinging a foot into the ice.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
