Description Start up the easy chimney and gain a ledge midway. Once on the ledge, work yourself into the OW and ascend until you can stem- The route name will be obvious. Fun, committing, short.
Location This is located in the alcove immediately right of Dual, left of Baldwin's Chimney.
Protection RPs could be useful right off the ledge, large cams for the OW (#4-5 Camalot).

| Oh My Jesus.... Humper? They should have called this "No-Vaseline-Reamer." "Mother" was taken, so we dropped shorts, bent over, and took our medicine like men...like whiny, weak, huddled-in-the-corner-in-the-fetal-position men. I couldn't fit in the initial squeeze; soloed up to the ledge just below the OW. I set a #4 and blew the opening moves (which clock in at about 5.impossible) and fell out and slammed back into the ledge below. (As of this writing, nearly two months later, I STILL have rope burn scars....) I steeled up, got back in, ssssssssrruuuuuggglllllleeeeddddd up through the pain. I didn't peel, but I really, really shoulda. This thing is beastly. Topped out--I don't know how--my partner shouting: "You all right?" Shaking. I couldn't answer. I was dry heaving for about five minutes before I could set belay. Hauled my partner up who curses me to this day for forcing them to get humped. How I absolutely love this effin' sport.... Bring your game and a #5. Push it up through the pain, and for god's sake, do Mother first if'n you're new to OW. Don't forget to wear body armor.... |
