Description

There is something at Mt. Hudson for everyone, whether beginner or advanced. Come haul steep jugs on Bucket Brigade, get yer trad fix on Hudson Crack, or tech your way up the eye-catching features of Supertang. This area is full of classics and will provide good cragging time and time again.

Also a popular area for hikers coming to visit Hudson Shelter. Please be courteous of others (leave the speaker in the car).

Getting There

Take Highway 7 to the town of Cowell and turn east onto County Rd 1204 (Cowell Road). Follow this dirt road for 3.8 miles until you reach Hudson Mountain Road on your right. The trailhead for the Hudson Mountain climbing area will be on your right in 100 yards. Park at any of the pullouts and follow the trail. When you reach the waterfalls, don't drop down to the big cave, Hudson Shelter. Instead, stay high by walking across boulders to reach the climbing.
