How much dirt could a dirtbag dirtbag if a dirtbag dirtbagged dirt?

Seriously. I've seen less philosophizing and navel gazing about politics, religion, death, love, and war than I've seen on here about "dirtbagging".

I had no real point to this. I just want the "If my car costs X amount of dollars and I dumpster dive twice a week, am I a dirtbag?" threads to stop. And for everyone to stop pretending like it's a subject that merits so much discussion. Please.

PS - I've been considering buying a PAS; any advantages to using one over using the rope?

But somewhere there are bolts beside cracks and somebody wants to know where and he'll probably clip them and stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using the rope instead of a PAS is obviously superior. What I want to know is where does highballing start. And is it appropriate to solo?

To stay true to the original form of the woodchuck poem, the thread title should say:

"How much dirt could a dirtbag bag, if a dirtbag could bag dirt."

Please change out of respect for woodchucks and dirtbags.

Roman, if you have to ask that question, I seriously suggest you hire a qualified guide for at least 500 days so you can learn about the dangers of Z-clipping.

In the past, a P.A. pissed on my PAS in PA, so I pasted the putz.

Not quite sure about the quantity of dirt a DB could bag; however, the hippie Olympics seem to be in full swing at the RRG this week, replete with fire dancing, no less.

A rope will be long enough to get you up a route, where a PAS won't. So, yes, there is a definite advantage with a rope. With a PAS, you could only climb about 4 or 5 feet, then you'd have to build another anchor. Seems like climbing with a PAS over a rope would be tedious.

Hope this answers your question.

I don't remember the article link, but some guy saved his skin by tying into a top belay anchor with the rope. He encountered rock fall, heard it coming and swung a few feet to side of the anchor and dodged the big stuff. The rocks also severed one leg of the two bolt anchor but the belay was saved because he knotted it.

But is it Kosher to Chip a Dirtbag that won't go otherwise? Bologna or Ham aside.

Ham is never kosher, but sometimes all beef bologna is. Dirtbags are unclean, and therefore neither kosher nor halal.

what if a dirtbag named Chip hammers in a pin beside a perfect bolt placement right after eating a bologna sandwich? And oh my god you guys, what if he did it AFTER he paid too much money to climb at the Gunks!? What then??
