I first slung my hexes roughly 15 years ago, using 7mm cord. I haven't used them heavily, but they've seen light action/sunlight exposure just about every year. Is it time to re-sling them?
One obvious answer is, if it's messing with my head on lead, then re-sling. Yes.
But I'm really asking about how long tech cord lasts. Thanks!

It depends on what it's made out of. Different companies use different materials (Kevlar, Vectran, Dyneema, ect). Which brand/ model is it?
Its relatively cheap to resling them so if you feel uncomfortable then go for it and resling them. That being said, I used to climb a lot back in the 80s and used my rack on a regular basis. After taking 30 years off from climbing due to other life obligations I got back into it last year. My rack had been hanging up in the basement that entire time. I did replace my slings but I havent reslung my stoppers or hexes yet. I may get around to that in the future but I feel perfectly safe climbing on them now.
