Formations included here include the namesake Houser Buttress , the smaller Dodo Buttress just to the right, the seldom visited Houser Gully and just to the west the small Houser Block.

Some of the more popular climbs here include All Booked Up (5.6), Lucky Lady (5.8), Dummy's Delight (5.9), Loose Lady (5.10a), Ladyfingers (5.10b) and Hidden Arch (5.11d).

Getting There 

A well-marked trail starting from the Real Hidden Valley parking lot leads west along the southern edge of the rocky hillside directly to the Houser Buttress Area. Plan on about 5 minutes for the walk plus a bit more time to reach the base of your chosen route.

From the Real Hidden Valley parking area approach as per Loose Lady via the marked climber's trail. The climb is not visible for most of the approach as it is west-facing. Once up at the base of Houser Buttress the climb will be obvious as a left-facing arching crack/corner system down and left from Loose Lady. A bit of easy scrambling leads down to the base. As an alternate to the Lost Horse Road, hiking past this area can take one out to the Arid Piles.
