Formations included here include the namesake Houser Buttress , the smaller Dodo Buttress just to the right, the seldom visited Houser Gully and just to the west the small Houser Block.

Some of the more popular climbs here include All Booked Up (5.6), Lucky Lady (5.8), Dummy's Delight (5.9), Loose Lady (5.10a), Ladyfingers (5.10b) and Hidden Arch (5.11d).

Getting There 

A well-marked trail starting from the Real Hidden Valley parking lot leads west along the southern edge of the rocky hillside directly to the Houser Buttress Area. Plan on about 5 minutes for the walk plus a bit more time to reach the base of your chosen route.

Loose Lady 5.10a 6a 18 VI+ 18 E1 5a  CA : Joshua Tree National Park : ... : Houser Buttress
Seven bolts protect steep edges/smears up this exposed and fun route with the crux coming early on. Well protected, but not quite a sport route. A bolted anchor/rap is on top (90'). As an alternate to the Lost Horse Road, hiking past this area can take one out to the Arid Piles.
