I shrink-wrapped the swage fitting on a couple of older BD nuts (pre-anodizing, sizes 10 and 12) to keep the cable tidy. And it wasn't until after subjecting the swage to the elevated temps from my propane torch that I thought, "Huh, I wonder if that effects the swage fitting in any way."
So if I understand correctly that you took shrink tubing to hold things nice and pretty.
You're worried you may have compromised the integrity of the cable.
My opinion would be that no you did not! The shrink tubing would only have needed temps of 200 or so degrees. To effect the connection your shrink tubing would have caught fire and burned away by the time you do any harm.
Climb on, or send them to me. Ill test them out for you and let you know that they still work just fine.

Thanks, that's my gut reaction too. I'm not concerned about the cable at all, heat source was very distant. I don't know if they are just pressure sealed or "soldered".
Ha, I'll let you know when I bail off one of them!.
