These crags are located inside Joshua Tree Nat. Park, and are behind the hospital in Joshua Tree, off the main hwy. There are a number of climbs that have been done around this neighborhood. Here are a few of them.
Gordon Branch 5.10-* crack (Faces the hwy) All in the Family 5.10 b/c ** Hands over a roof to bolted face 2 bolt anchor Early Retirement 5.8* bolts on a slab buttress to 2 bolt anchor Burkuleese 5.8 crack , located to the left of Early Retirement All in the family, Early Retirement, and Burkuleese all face West.
Drive East past the town of Joshua Tree for a mile or two until you come to the hospital (on the right). A bit further down the road, you will see some crags off to the right. These are the Hospital Crags. Drive over to them, park, and hike over to them.
This climb goes up a diagonal crack which goes across the crag left to right. This crag is easily spotted from the main road, and is sort of isolated, as there isn't much else in the area to climb....[more]Browse More Classics in CA
