Honeymoon Destinations?!

Hey everyone!

I recently got married to the most amazing man (while skydiving!), but we are holding off on the honeymoon for a year or so. I haven't put in much research yet, I'm sure I'll find some killer spots once I do. I figured I'd turn to MP first to see if anyone had some ideas and first hand expiriences! We definitally want a location outside of the U.S. and ideally we want to be able to climb and snowboard in the same trip. Any thoughts?!

Thanks!

Married while skydiving? Climbing on your honeymoon? Do you have a sister who's single?

Ha, no sister! We met while climbing, so keep doing what you love and you'll find the lucky girl doing just that! :)

No first hand experience, but look into Mallorca, Spain. And your sure to find some skiing/boarding in the Alps till June. Good Luck!

I had to delete my last post because I came up with a much better idea! Go skiing in Andorra and after that drive to Spain to climb! The drive will be no more than 3 hours between countries. Not only two great ways to spend your honeymoon but also two different countries and the weather is usually nice in that area. Just and idea!

What season do you plan on the honeymoon? Depends if you want to choose the southern hemisphere for some fun times in S.Am or Australia, Thailand, etc. A great trip can take a bit of time to plan it all out.

Two destinations:
1) Virgin gorda in the BVI for it's beachside bouldering and blue lagoons. guavaberryspringbay.com/

2) Skaha Bluffs, Brittish Columbia for the wineries, fruit farms and cool clean lakes. Sport/Trad Crag. Then Drive west to Squamish.

We went to Banff and Lake Louise for our honeymoon and thought it was incredible. You could certainly do both while your up there.

Friends just did a NZ/ OZ honeymoon and climbing trip and loved it.

Of course it's areally long flight from BOS, you actually may get a better deal flying the other way, via London.

One option, staying in the USA would for sure be the Sierra East side. Bishop, Tuolumne and killer biking and boarding at Mammoth.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
