Excellent climbing on the Holcomb Creek Tower.

Description

These are the formations which are along the Holcomb Creek and it's tributaries. There are about 20 formations, and lots of new lines exist in this out of the way area. Holcomb Creek is NW up 3N14 out of Fawnskin, and not to be confused with the Holcomb Valley Pinnacles area, which is a ways (a number of miles) to the west.

Getting There

Out of the town of Fawnskin, head NW up 3N14, past Hanna Campground, and then you will drop down into the Holcomb Creek drainage, as well as an intersection with the Pacific Crest Trail. All of the formations are off to the left (west), and Brad Singer's Hidden Treasures East is what you will want in your hand to find the climbs here. There is also a beaver dam or two here up Holcomb Creek, with a small population of beavers. There was a fire in this area a number of years ago, and the road into Holcomb Creek has been closed to motorized traffic for a number of years to give the vegetation time to grow back in. It's sort of a longish hike in, but that just means that you will most likely have the whole area to yourself....so enjoy!`
