Description Suggest change

Himmelsleiter is a quality route with a crux first pitch followed by a moderate and easy climbing to the top.

Pitch one climbs up and right with varying sections of large cobbles and thin cruxes 4+ bolts (5.10a).

Pitch two continues straight up a water trough with large runouts between bolts but cobbles suitable for slinging are numerous 3 bolts, (5.8).

The last pitch is easy 5th class up a lower angle slab. 2 bolts lead to a two bolt anchor, (5.6).

Location Suggest change

Follow the same approach as for Ypsiloterafels. Himmelsleiter starts in the center of the south face and climbs straight up for about 20 feet to a short flaring crack. The route to the right that traverses way right at the start is Danae (5.10c).

Protection Suggest change

6 quickdraws and a few runners to reduce rope drag and sling large cobbles is all you'll need for this route. Anchors are large ring bolts. Rap the route to descend.
