Description Suggest change

As well as boulder problems, Lake of the Woods has a couple of small lead/TR climbs established on a large slabby boulder by the highway. The central and best lead route on the boulder climbs a short layback flake up the central east face of the boulder, then makes smeary moves past a bolt. Scramble descent to north.

The right side of the Highway Boulder is a 10m long 5.6.

Location Suggest change

Right next to the highway, at the top of the hill and visible when driving up to the Lake. This boulder has a slabby west face and shorter steeper east face. Walk in from the highway shoulder in about 1 minute.

Protection Suggest change

One bolt and a medium cam. Fixed pins stacked in a blasting drillhole, and (presently hangerless) bolts on top.
