Description
Old basalt rock laval flow with cliffs up to 20' bouldering routes all along the dirt road at the base of the White Cliffs in the Grand Staircase. It is extremely secluded and has only been boulder by a few locals. Be aware of rattle snakes in the rocks, they are sneaky, but seemed timid and will leave you alone if you do the same.
Getting There
Take Hwy 89 east out of Kanab for a little over 8 miles, then take a left on S Johnson Canyon Rd. Drive 14 miles until you come to a bridge at entrances into the white cliffs, take a right onto the jeep trail before the bridge. It will make U and circle back towards 89, the cliffs are on the right of the dirt road. Short approach, since you are never more than 30' from the road.
