If you've ever been to Smith Rock State Park to go climbing there's a pretty good chance you've seen Mr. Hank strolling out and about. A black and white German Shorthaired Pointer/Mcnabb Shepard Mix, Hank is almost the official crag dog at Smith. Always staying close to his owner Alan Collins, Hank is the quintessential cragging partner. Even at the crag you'll hear "Hey there's Hank and Hank's owner." Hank is loved by many here in Central Oregon and he needs our help ! Hank dog got into a scuffle with a porcupine on friday night at Smith. While seemingly minor at first, after a day of extreme uncomfort Hank was taken to the animal hospital of Bend and was discovered he has a punctured lung. He is currently in critcal condition and awaiting surgery. $6000 was the given estimate by the hospital and so far over $1700 has been raised by this awesome Bend community. Well i'm reaching out a little further on behalf of Hank dog. A gofundme page has been created and if you can donate anything you can rest assured it is going to a great cause.
