Any recommendation for a relatively simple heart rate monitor? Training data download to a Mac would be nice. No GPS, foot pod, etc. Just a heart rate monitor with alerts and timer. Thanks!

I have the Garmin FR 60. Am happy with it. Not too expensive and nothing overly fancy (although I hear that it can be hooked up with the software for Adidas miCoach, if you're into that kinda stuff as well). Does the job pretty well.

The Clymb has a few Timex HR monitors on sale right now. Don't know if they are downloadable or not.

I currently use a Timex HR that's downloadable to Mac. It does the job. Have also used Polar and Suunto ones. All are good.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
