Description 

Most of these crags are pretty shaded as they are in a forested area. There are various crags in this area which are reachable from the same parking lot. There is also a via ferrata (Klettersteig) here called Hohenglücksteig if you're looking for some more "civilized" climbing. ;-)
Below are driving directions. For hiking directions, follow the directions on the individual area descriptions.

Getting There 

Drive to Hirschbach, which is east of Nürnberg and north-east of Hersbruck. You'll drive through Eschenbach on your way to Hirschbach from Nürnberg.
When leaving Hirschbach heading east, drive towards Kirchenreinbach. After 1.4km there's a road that turns hard left towards Hauseck. Park on the side of this smaller road.

This route is the easiest route rated as a 5 that I've ever done. It's so close to 4th class it's ridiculous. Most normal people (ie. not climbers) free solo this, so don't even bother with the rope or shoes.
