Description

A really nice crag! Pleasure climbers will definitely find what they're looking for here on nice days. If it's a cool day, it can get pretty cold here and you should bring a jacket. The crag is north facing and in the forest, so don't expect any sun to reach you. The routes range in difficulty from 5.5 to 5.12a and can be up to 65 feet tall.

Getting There

In Hartenstein (near Velden) follow the signs to the cemetery (Friedhof) and soccer field (Sportplatz). The soccer field is also indicated on signs as "Sportverein" or just "SV" for short. The crag is located in the forest above the cemetery, but please don't park there! As there have been access issues in the the past, after a 2 year closure the crag is now reopened but with conditions. Only 20 climbers allowed on the crag, no dogs, only stay within on marked area, use the portapotty at the cemetery. Continue driving past and take the left uphill to park at the soccer field. From there, follow the trail at the end of the parking lot to wind down beside the road to the crag. It is a two minute walk downhill.
