Any photos and suggestions on wooden hang-board design for a do it your selfer? I like the looks of the beastmaker, anyone use them? How about curved slopers, crimps, sidepulls, tufa pinches. I'd like it to be simple yet comprehensive.

(and yes I dug through the forum already)

This one I found on the internet is pretty sweet (and cheap/easy to build): powercompanyclimbing.com/20…

wood sounds like it would get pretty smooth and slick quite quickly. Maybe epoxy on some sandpaper or something for texture on the crimps.

I like smooth, saves my hands.

My hands are not at the point where I can crimp - I'm still climbing open handed. I made three hangboards:

1. 12x36 piece of plywood, screwed a 2x4 with the narrow side to the plywood, to make an edge that's 3 1/2 inches wide, with another piece of 2x4 below to support.
2. PVC sloper from a bit of pvc pipe screwed to plywood with some no-slip material for stairs attached to it.
3. At my office at work, I just bolted a 2x4 directly to the wall over the doorway

I'll post photos later today if I can

This is the route I'm planning to go. Simple, perfect.
