Hammer Time, T-Wall, TN.

Description Visiting New England hardfellers scooped this one up on a winter getaway, along with a clutch of other lines in the immediate vicinity. Look for the 'Hammer Time' piton about 15 feet up. Boulder up to this, and continue up the face in the neighborhood of a vague, left-facing flake system through numerous horizontals to the top.
Location Hammer Time is found a bit right of the Wood Spirit tree, in the low cave after you clamber over a bunch of breakdown boulders. Look for the pin.
Anchors Ring anchors as of 1/07.

| I first met Ward Smith at Hueco in 1991. I told him I was from Atlanta. Nope, never been to the T-Wall. "You live in Atlanta and you've never been to the T-Wall?!", he repeated, incredulous. Ward and his pard turned to each other and burst out laughing. I was a gumby, what can I say... At Hueco, they would urge each other on between slugs of a viscous, bile-green muscle-building fluid, ritually intoning 'guns ah blazin' before each attempt, long after my exhausted partner and I were reduced to spotting. Their guns were indeed huge, so maybe the green stuff had something in it after all. |
