Halmae-Bawi (Gochang) Rock Climbing

Really nice and aggressively cleaned rock on the side of the highway on the way to Seonusan Provincial Park. Parking is right off the side of the road and has space for 10 cars. The area is not quite because it is near the road but next to a rice field. During the winter you may only get the smell of the pig farms across the road, but during the summer bugs might be a pain. The routes range from 5.7 to 5.13 and are all sport routes. All of the anchors are newly replaced, except the longest route in the middle of the wall which is bolted with aluminum hangers used for caving rappels (not for sport climbing). There are around 40 routes in all. It is a good spot to climb for a quick weekend day climb and fun to socialize with the hords of Koreans that come on the weekend.
