I will be in a climbing competition right before Halloween and there will be a costume contest. Figured it would be fun to hear what people would be for Halloween that you could climb with.

This painting was taken from engravings made during the 1859 Macomb Expedition, which attempted to locate the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers in the present-day Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. Anyone who has spent time in Indian Creek will recognize the features here.

If you're interested, the survey's official report, as well as more landscape paintings like this one, are available in full on google books.

books.google.com/books?id=674QAAAAIAAJ&printsec=frontcover&d>>>

This was my climbing-themed Halloween costume a couple years ago. Not the best photos, unfortunately. Guess who/what my costume was?

70s/80s, easy to do with a pair of old jeans:

A bit more expensive but super comfortable and you can break them out whenever you want to have an extra-fun climbing day:

camhead, I was thinking 'that is too soon' to be jokin around but I guess he would have been laughing too if here today.

The key to the costume is to not inhibit beer drinking.

Yeah, I was unsure about it when I planned the costume, since JB is without a doubt one of my heros, but I decided it was more of a tribute to the man and the era than a joke. I would hope that he would be laughing, too.

May be first of all you have to think different from others and don't let yourself confuse! Listen to your heart and see your budget and available resources. Decide yourself what you like the most.
