The crux of Half Man, Half Alligator Shark

RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. MORE INFO >>>

A nice change of pace if you're getting tired splitters or you want your gobies to heal. The crux involves insecure arete liebacking w/ fixed kb's for pro.

Located just left of Binou's Crack. Start by climbing the splitter flake on the face.

Aliens, 2 reds, 2 grays, 2 greens, 1 blue, quick draws for pitons

The first two kb's are equalized (almost) with some questionable tat. I recommend fixing your own tat before going up there. You can easily set a TR on it from Binou's crack, or you can be unlike me and go for it ground up.

Not 100% sure at what Cedar actually named the route, but I believe it's actually 'HalfSharkAlligatorHalfMan' , you know, from Dr. Octagon's insanely good release 'Dr. Octagonecologyst'.

You're probably right. Half Man, Half Alligator Shark is the name given in the guide book.

Yeah, Cedar's one of many fans of Kool Keith's bizarre and yet great releases. It is named Half Shark Alligator Half Man, the book is wrong, might as well correct it here. Cool looking route. Chalk all over it when I walked by.

"Fixed KB" likely refers to a fixed knife blade piton.
