Description
Hairs on Fire is located precisely in the middle of Rad Rock. It is easily identified by the high first bolt and the large mesquite right at the base that has a perfect chair where the trunk branches.The climb is great as it ascends crimps through the characteristic alligator skin plates up the vertical face.
Protection
This is a sport route, however, the first bolt placement is a good 25 ft. off the deck. Hence the "R". You are able to get a in a medium nut or cam before the first bolt. If one did fall it would be right into a mesquite tree, which would not be pretty. The climbing is easy, but be aware.
