Gunks - Finger Locks or Cedar Box

Did this climb last week and when I got to the top I noticed a couple of big blocks up and off to the right. Looked pretty precarious, so I was just wondering if this is a recent development or is it something that's sort of "been there forever"?

i'm guessing been there. looks like the tree is growing around the rocks. a tree that size would not stop rocks that size from falling without looking really beat up.
