| There's a guide service office located in the center of Cortina in the pedestrian area, near the church across from the Cooperativa. You might also just hook up with someone at the hut up there, though having two folks makes that tougher. We guided an American in your situation on the Miriam once upon a time. Our last trip over we managed to get a 60-meter rope, draws, harness, shoes and helmets in our single carry-on for a 3-week trip, using this bag: ebags You might look at what/how you're packing and be able to pull off the same trick. If you're competent at the grade, the Miriam could be climbed with a very small and light rack, using wires, hexes, and a few small cams. We bought new superlight draws, slings and biners which really helped out with volume and weight. The big question is probably if you need double ropes to rap off Torre Grande. I seem to remember yes, but its been awhile, and the initial natural rap anchor going down the central chimney failed, if I remember correctly. That having been replaced, the others may have been updated. | FLAG |
