Description
Traditionally attempted as a run and jump, the seldom-repeated 'Grovel Roof' will test your mantle skills at a height that requires your full attention and commitment or it feels nearly impossible.
Run and jump/step and deadpoint match onto the high sloper. Get situated and move up to the hold in the horizontal seam, then work your way around the lip using decent slopers and whatever beta works for you. Most get a heelhook then try a mantle via the "beached whale" technique. The challenge is doing it with style...
The stand-start is much more difficult as you will see, using tiny crimps to gain that sloper (v7-8)
