The Classics
Mountain Project's determination of some of the classic, most popular, highest rated routes for Great Frog Boulder:
Stand start the dead obvious, right-trending arete. The original line done by Bob tops out through a V-shaped groove at 20 feet. There is a sit to this problem that could be linked to a harder finish which would exit all the way right at about 25+ feet....[more]Browse More Classics in MA
Hey Pete- so I don't know if you remember me, but we climbed a bit together back in 2006/2007 (I'm one of Bob's buddies from CT). I climbed two hard lines on the back right hand side (if you're facing the overhang) of this boulder back in 2006/7. One traversed left and from the back corner, the other was more straight up and involved squeezing around, in-between, or close to a tree on the right side. I thought at the time speaking w/ Bob that those were both FAs. Also, there was some other boulders we were at back in the day that I put up several FAs on as well....

Hey Morgan, I will put you down for the first ascents on both of those problems. I believe they are Show Us Your Woody and Hookup. Bob is listed as the first ascent for the Great Frog Arete, but the full sit is an open project. The other boulders you mentioned have not been posted up yet, but I remember the problems you are referring to. Captain Mo, let me know if you are going to be in the area at any point as we have developed tons of stuff just outside the park that Bob found years ago.
Thanks, Pete!!! It's pretty rad all the work you guys have been doing up there! I'm def down to kick it up there for a weekend this fall. My buddy Dan Alroy has been tryin' to get me to hit up Beantown, so def once the temps get good! Such good rock (and people) up there!
