Sit start about 10 feet left of the Great Frog Arete with two low, flat edges. Bump right to a good, rounded hold and then match on the crimp bar up on the face. Lock off and power through the steepness to a distant right sidepull crimp and then finish straight up the face. Alternate short man beta is to get the crimp bar with the left hand, grab a bad pinch on the arete with the right, and power up to the same finish. Same grade either way. ...[more]Browse More Classics in MA
Hey Pete- so I don't know if you remember me, but we climbed a bit together back in 2006/2007 (I'm one of Bob's buddies from CT). I climbed two hard lines on the back right hand side (if you're facing the overhang) of this boulder back in 2006/7. One traversed left and from the back corner, the other was more straight up and involved squeezing around, in-between, or close to a tree on the right side. I thought at the time speaking w/ Bob that those were both FAs. Also, there was some other boulders we were at back in the day that I put up several FAs on as well....

Hey Morgan, I will put you down for the first ascents on both of those problems. I believe they are Show Us Your Woody and Hookup. Bob is listed as the first ascent for the Great Frog Arete, but the full sit is an open project. The other boulders you mentioned have not been posted up yet, but I remember the problems you are referring to. Captain Mo, let me know if you are going to be in the area at any point as we have developed tons of stuff just outside the park that Bob found years ago.
Thanks, Pete!!! It's pretty rad all the work you guys have been doing up there! I'm def down to kick it up there for a weekend this fall. My buddy Dan Alroy has been tryin' to get me to hit up Beantown, so def once the temps get good! Such good rock (and people) up there!
