Description

Short walls and boulders north of the main areas, just south of Electric City.

Getting There

Head north on 155 from Roadside Rock. Turn left at the big golf ball. Take the first left and drive past the golf course till you see an old dilapidated barn. Either park here and hike to the rocks, or continue down an overgrown sandy road with some steep up-and-downs (fine in an Outback if you don't mind scraping over some sagebrush). The road takes you almost to the base of the Golf Course Wall.

Reportedly the access (and maybe the climbing too) is on private land. Please be respectful and keep a low profile.

At first glance, this looks improbable for the grade. And once you're on it, it's one of those climbs where you keep thinking "OK, here's where it's going to get harder" before almost every move. But then another great edge magically appears, you break out in a smile, and you laugh out loud with joy. Listed as .10b/c in Rock Climbs of Central Washington, but it felt more like .10a to me. Very fun. Also very well protected (almost to the point of being overbolted, but I happily clipped every ...[more]   Browse More Classics in WA
