DescriptionAmong the dozen or so scattered blocks out on the golf course, there are 5 that are worth seeking out. Please only go here in the winter, as the golfers get freaked out and have been known to call the cops. Getting ThereFrom the Hillside Boulder, walk about 75 feet straight uphill to get on the golf course. There is a 10 foot boulder right there, too, with a few good problems. That boulder is called the Pine Tree Boulder. Walk straight ahead for 4-5 minutes dropping down into a valley and you'll see a cool overhanging egg perched on a slab on your left. This is the Clubhouse Boulder. Walk another 200 feet or so straight ahead to see the Pipefitter's Boulder. About 100 feet straight ahead is the Cruiseship Boulder. To get to the fifth boulder...the 14th Hole Boulder...head straight across the golf course for about 4-5 minutes and you'll see this nice 13 foot golden block sitting on the 14th hole above a small pond. Pipefitter V3 MA : Lynn Woods : Golf Course Boulders
On the Pipefitter's Boulder, this is the obvious, striking, golden arete. Stand start matched on the quarried left arete and climb up. A crouch start has been done at V4. Named after Paul the pipefitter volunteered to move a 5000 pound block at the base of this problem in about 45 minutes. Thanks again, Paul!!!...[more] Browse More Classics in MA
