Amazing place, very unique (for me) climnbing, beautiful countryside & some...sorry to say...bad food (at least for my taste - but there's a supermarket in Huesca ~30km away & the bakeries in nearby Ayerbe kick ass).

Food in Spain can be hit and miss, no doubt.

Hank, we stayed at a little hotel in Murillo de Gallego, which is on the main highway near the turnoff to Riglos, but within about 2 miles. There's a decent little hotel there right on the highway and we got the honeymoon suite on the second floor for about $25 a night. Folks there were really nice and they made decent food. No reservations needed.

The shaded face on the "spire" on the left looks steep, as does the one on the right. Are you becoming an international traveler Hanky? sure looks like there could be some carcass hucking to be had there...

yeah InsaneO, we are doing the slightly obscure BASE/climb tour. Fiesta de los Biceps is the belle of the ball, but we wanna' climb as many classics as we can. and there will be no hiking down heh heh heh, no sir!

thanx for the lodging beta Berto!

The shaded spire on the left is Fire spire (remember the shoes?) and there is a lot of mixed climbing also. I've been a couple times and stayed at Antonio's refugio in town as well as the hotel mentioned. Now a new and very large refugio is also open in town.

The Fiesta is the baddest route imho but we did quite a few others. Be ready for big holds and some steep walls.

We saw base jumpers there our last trip and they were definitely psyched on the walls.

If you want more info, let me know. Have fun Hank, hope to see some photos.

Only heard good things about it from the locals at Rodellar. If the locals there say it's good then it should be great!

Just cant recommend this place enough. No burly hikes, alpine setting, GENTLY runnout multi-pitch sport routes and a great little climbers bar at the base. 4 thumbs way up!!
