liz cruising on her first lead!

Description

Better than Near Beer.

Climb the open book (easier than it looks), then past a bulge (crux, tough clip for 5.7 leader) to a ledge. Mantle onto ledge and finish through roof (easy) to the anchors.

Location

On a short south-facing section of rock that juts out from the main cliff, just past where the trail descends a bit.

Protection

5 bolts + 2-bolt anchor.

Led this with my friend for his first climbing outing. Not great if you take the easy routes through, but can be made a bit more interesting and fun if you stay away from the chalk in a few sections!
