Description Suggest change

This talus field is hidden among the trees above South Shore road, east of the SW boat ramp, northwest of the Reserve, and is a little difficult to find. It isn't a very big field, but there are a few gems.

Getting There Suggest change

Start on the trail to the Reserve (SW boat ramp parking). When you reach the top of the South Bluff, cut off trail to the east instead of continuing southeast as for the Reserve - this works best if you have a GPS receiver, or you are using the MP app. It is about 15 minutes from the parking lot.

Another way to get up to this area is to park as you would for the Reserve but walk along the south shore road until you hit the 4th mini pullout on the right (or just park here if there is room).  Head straight up the hill from here for about 5-10 minutes and it's right there. You may find a few cairns along the way.
