| Is there an easy way to get to the last post or do we have to keep clicking until we get there? It would be helpful on some of the lengthy topics like the "surfing and wave sailing" topic. That should have been started over about 4 times by now. | FLAG |

| If the thread is on the home page, the arrow button the the right will put you on the last page. If you are navigating via the forum tab and go into a specific category, any thread with more than one page displays each page and you can click directly to the page you like. So yes there are easy ways to do what you ask. -Jon | FLAG |

| Hi Jim, To the right of each forum topic (including the list on the front page of MP), there is an arrow that points to the right at a 'page' icon. If you click on this, it will automatically forward you to the last post in that thread. | FLAG |

| Is there a way to make jump to the first unread (by me) post in a thread when I click on it? Most forums seem to do that and it is much easier than trying to remember what page I was up to in a specific thread, then click to it and scan for the first unfamiliar one... | FLAG |

Also having a notification option for a thread to which one has not contributed would be nice. r,c | FLAG |

| Or use the RSS feed, which gives you the new posts and also contains a link to the forum that goes right to that post if you want context. | FLAG |

| Took me a while to figure that one out too Jim. So next time you check in on Olaf's post tell him to start his own dang surfin' blog or somethin' will ya? We'd love to see him actually "get to the end of that topic" !! ;) | FLAG |

Not something possible with your forum software? A possible update? | FLAG |

One more try at getting a comment from the admins... Is this in the works? Not possible with the current software? Not desired? The lack of this feature is what keeps me from using this forum. Once you've used forums that take you right to the new posts, it is just too much hassle to use a forum without it. I tried following some threads here that accumulated posts at a reasonable rate, but having to guess at which page I left off at and scan through posts just to get to what I want to read isn't worth the effort. | FLAG |

| Look down and to the left to the bottom of the "Recent Forum Posts" column on the home page and there will be a bracketed blue "[see all recent posts]" clicky. Click it. It will bring up a list of all recent topics and the pages appended to them will include the last page of the topic so that you will no longer have to click, clickity, click all the way to the end. That answers the question of getting to the end of a long thread anyway. As far as a logged in user being dropped in where they left off, I personally don't care. | FLAG |
