Climbers are a varied lot. Some of us obsess about our weight and subsist on a diet of white rice, broccoli and water with lemon slices in order to send the proj, while others chew on pork pie, potato chips and drink soda regularly, yet still crank the rad. No one is right, no one is wrong. But this is America, and we all have our unhealthy food vices. My vices are Twizzlers and oreos.

I'm just curious what other climbers' unhealthy food vices are.

Soda and Soft Serve ice cream. however somehow I always end up fasting for 6 hours before climbing every time. I figure it makes you lighter.

Either a Chubby's Special burrito or a Santiago's Breakfast Burrito. Both chains have several outlets in the Denver metro area, if I drive near one I am compelled to stop. The Chubby's Special will drip a half cup of that orange grease out the bottom while you eat it; a Santiago's breakfast burrito (w/ cheese) is just a calorie/carb bomb. Although I savor the burn, I really hate myself afterwards. I am a hot green chili addict.

If I open a bag of candy, I finish it. Usually red vines. I love eating the cookie dough squares too (rarely do I make cookies out of it). I've sort of lost my taste for donuts but that used to be a major deal. Never ever ever drink diet and I'd carry coke instead of water everywhere if I could keep it cold. I almost forgot bacon...

I burn like a jillion calories away from climbing, this has more to do with that than climbing.

After a day of climbing it's hard to beat a greasy burger though.

There is only one chubby's, the original chubby's on 38th and Lipan ...the most larded up and spicy green chile in Denver. All others going by the name chubby's are cheap imitations.

Other then a Chubby's smothered beef burito and a plate of smothered cheese fries, my main food vice would have to be Marlboro Mediums.
