This canyon is full of rock, some good, some bad, some great. There are many established routes, but there is very little information on FAs, names, and grades. The rock is similar to Taylor Canyon in places and similar to The Black in others. It seems that most of the development so far has been on the road side, though there is high quality rock on the other side of the river as well, it is just harder to get to. If anyone has information to share, let's hear it.
From Gunnison, head west on US 50 and then take the left turn towards Lake City. On the way to Lake City, turn right onto the Blue Mesa Cut-off (dirt road from here on). Head straight, and there will be a sign for Gate View.

A direct (and better) finish now exists that goes straight up the corner and tops out....[more] Browse More Classics in CO

What is the route info in this area? Are there more established routes than posted on MP? If so, who should I speak with?
