Garth Rocks Rock Climbing
Garth is a new area that is being developed and new problems are waiting to be found. although, there are already plenty of problems that are established. Go out, get psyched, and boulder!
mostly bouldering but there are a couple sport routes on the higher cliffband.
From The Desert Rat head west on the St. George Boulevard towards bluff street. Turn left on Bluff Street and continue heading south. The road begins to slightly turn left and will turn into riverside dr., continue and turn right on river road. Keep heading south on river road and turn left on 2450 S Street and then take a right on 3000 east. Head south and youll find a dirt road followed by a random piece of pavement. Pass the pavement, the road will turn back into a dirt road and keep an eye out to your left for a fire hydrant. Turn onto the road that the fire hydrant is on and itll make you turn left and keep following then take your first right. You will drive by the fence for a bit and then turn left where there is a break in the fence. Drive up to the parking lot and boulder!!

For those interested, access to Garth has changed. Residential development overlying the approach as described here has closed off the normal directions. Access to the Wash and the Parking area boulders can now be obtained by driving uphill on the now fully paved road heading towards the airport, to the small pullout at the apex of the hill next to the cragging. Walk down the obvious dirt path/road to the boulders. Have fun!
