The Flakes area is about 100 yards uphill from a police station. Climbers must be discrete, keep quiet, no super bright colors, etc. The first developer of this area has been bouldering at the Flakes since the late 1990's. The Flakes is in the woods and somewhat obscured from easy viewing down the hill. Keeping a low profile is essential to maintain the use of this area.
This information is a public crowdsourcing effort between the Access Fund,
and Mountain Project. You should confirm closures, restrictions, and/or related dates.

Description This problem goes up the outside arete of Flake 1 which is located above the Inchworm Boulder. This Flake is about 25 feet tall and rests against the main cliff face directly below the Tower. This problem goes up holds on the arete or just inside of the outer edge of the arete for 25 feet until you can pull up onto a ledge. Some of the holds are insecure and one of the crux moves occurs when the boulderer is making a horizontal move above a sharp rock sticking up out of the ground.
Protection Pads are strongly advised.
