I was reminded by a fallen dead tree that most climbing accidents occur on the descent.

I'm looking for a climbing partner to go after Otto's Route (5.8+) in Colorado National Monument as well as anything else in the general vicinity from April 23rd to April 26. This is during the Fruita Fat Tire Festival at which there will be a few of my ol' friends from college as well as beer.

I'm leaving this Wednesday night (or maybe early Thursday morning) and driving back on Sunday.

Any takers?

Rhododendrons at the New River Gorge (late May - early June).

Maybe it's just me, but your bloody profile pic might not be the best choice for soliciting climbing partners.

I think it is a killer pic, head wounds just bleed terrible.

Yeah, I was attacked by a dead tree branch after a day at Lumpy Ridge. I thought it was just a bump on the head; no big deal. Next thing I know there's blood everywhere.

It came outta nowhere!
