Jefferson County Open Space in partnership with Eldorado Canyon State Park, Boulder Climbing Community, The American Alpine Club, and The Access Fund will be offering monthly trail building workshops to help develop advanced trail building techniques for interested individuals.

To kick off this series we will be offering the first of these workshops on Saturday, May 18th from 9AM until 12 PM at the Jefferson County Open Space office at 700 Jefferson County Parkway, Suite 100, Golden. This first workshop will focus on trail layout and design and will provide a solid foundation for future workshops. Individuals interested in attending this first workshop are asked to register through the Jefferson County Open Space Trails Co-op page at jeffco.us/openspace/openspa…. There you will find an electronic form that has been set up for quick and easy registration. Below is a list of planned workshops. Most of these workshops will be hands on in the field training and will provide interested individuals with a great opportunity to improve their existing skills and learn new ones.

May 18 – Trail Design @ Jefferson County Open Space
June 22 – Trail Construction @ Jefferson County Open Space
July 20 – Rock Work @ Eldorado Canyon State Park
Aug 17– Timber @ TBD
