This south-facing wall is of typical Donner quality, very solid granite, and while the access is easy, the routes appear seldom done.

Getting There

Take I-80 west and park at the base of the obvious slab in a dirt pullout west of the guardrail approx 1-2 miles before the summit. Follow a overgrown trail north along a seasonal creek till you are almost directly west of the slab, then cut over to the base.

Refer to J. Jackson's Local's Guide for more info and great color prints.

Given the condition of the bolts and the bushwhacking required for the walk-off I would recommend the belay anchors be replaced. I am up for the task with the blessing of the FA parties.

Any updates on the anchor upgrades?

Highly doubt they are upgraded, Sean. I'll try to replace them before the end of the year. This is a great little spring time area when the rest of Donner is too cold and wet.
