Fiveten Blackwing sizing

What size Blackwing do you wear compared to your street shoe? I wear a 10.5 street shoe and normally wear about a 9.5 in the Anasazi but I just got a pair of Blackwings in a 9.5 and they are WAY too small. I am not sure if the pair 9.5 Blackwings that I got are sized wrong. Thanks.

I'm not sure about the blue blackwing but my (older) red blackwings definitely run small.

Street: 8
Blackwing: 8.5 (should've gone 9)
Hornet: 8.5
Blancos: 7.5
Mocs: 6.5

Ben, I am in the same boat as you. I wear a 10.5 street shoe and wear 9.5 in the galilieo/anasazi. I went 9.5 originally in the blackwings and they were bone crushing... I reordered a 10.5 and have been happy with a snug fit. I believe I could have gone with 10s,but they would have gotten uncomfortable after a short time on. So depending on what you want them for: quick on and off shoe (10's) or longer period wear go (10.5). Hope this helps your decision.

Street shoe US10. Blackwings in US10.5 for snug (but bearable) fit. Maybe I could do 10 in BW but that would be only if I climbed 5.14...

yep, street 13, blackwing 13, its a first with a climbing shoe for me.

I wear a 9.5/ 10 street shoe, and had to get a 10.5 in the blackwing. I have a wider foot, so i needed more room to mash it in.

Another vote for even with street shoe size. I'm lucky to fall on the boundary between a 10 and 10.5 street shoe typically, wear a 10 in anything downturned from 5.10 (blackwing dragon arrowhead) and a 9.5 in anasazis

I just got a new pair of black wings too. I had the same issue. I wear size 8 street shoes and I got size 7.5 in the black wings. They were too small, so I got an 8. At first I got the 7.5 because I wear my shoes big ( more room when your feet come out of the shoes). But I just used an 8 after all and it worked fine

street shoe size for the downturned styles. the Team, Dragon, and Blackwings are built off the same last with the same upper materials. lined cowdura= minimal stretch.

the quantum is another examples of a style that seems to be plenty snug and fit me correctly at street shoe size. also lined cowdura upper. quantum is lower volume in the heel and arch.

that being said i could go up one half size and likely enjoy the shoes without sacrificing much performance.
