Description Suggest change

3.5 miles uphill from the road.

This is the FEA Area of M-Knob, and it is in my opinion the poster child of the bouldering at Mcafee's. This is the place to be and the coolest spot in the mountain... But you work your ass off to get there... It is a well deserved present once you hike to the top however, with a view that is hard to beat anywhere on the east coast. The view is the most photographed location out of anywhere else on the Appalachian Trail. The place is just too cool to adequately describe, so just hike up and check it out for yourself. The hike up may be long but its a great pay off in the end.

Hike for an hour and a halfBe sure to try out Ship's Prow(V3) FEA(V5+) and Austin's Seam(V7) while in the area...

Getting There Suggest change

Hike all the way to the top of M-Knob. To get here, prepare for an all uphill 3.5 mile hike with your gear. If youre like me, you'll complain while you hike up, and then say it was all worth it once you reach the boulders...

Hike for an hour and a half Once at the top, walk further down the trail and look down into the deep crevasses that snake through the area. Close to the look out is a low, long, horizontal roof... This is the FEA Boulder.
