Finger nail tear

Not that it's a big deal, but I recently had my pointer finger nail tear away slightly from the skin underneath the nail. It's only on the left edge. I can't seem to get it to heal completely. I even took a week off. I've been putting moisturizer under it because it seems like its dry a lot. But every time I crimp hard it rips again and squirts out blood. Any suggestions? I think I cut the nail too short the first time it happened. Thinking of letting the nail grow out a little before I cut it again.

I've got to hand it to him, Hank nails it. We all have to lay in the beds we make.

OK, gotta split now.

Super Glue it closed and it will heal faster.

Does the super glue thing really work? I've heard of long distance runners doing that to blisters. could it really a be a symptom of nails cut too short... I'll have to test that theory out...

This pretty much happens to me every time I climb... and the cuticles too... AAAARRRGGGHHH!!!

I pack climb-on under my nails at night and then rub it all over the cuticles, that seems to help some. Maybe some bactine, neosporin, and/or hydrogen peroxide to clean it out first.
