Finger Injury - Not pulley, not wrist, doesn't hurt to climb??

Hey so I have an injured finger that doesn't match any of the common climbing injuries that I have found through online research. The injury is on my middle finger, between the second and third knuckle (counting from palm to finger tip). The only consistent pain is when I press on the palm side of the finger, no pain is felt when applying pressure to either surrounding knuckle or the top and sides of the finger either. Climbing generally doesn't hurt it although hard crimping and bouldering do aggravate it, although the pain isn't felt while climbing... Only other thing is the initial injury seemed to come from a series of hangboard workouts on an old franklin board that had deep two finger pockets that were pretty rough... so, any ideas? any input would be appreciated!!

Sounds like an injury to one of the C pulleys probably a strain. I injured one on my ring finger in mid November on a bouldering trip. I didn't stop climbing at first and it never got worse but also never got better. Same symptoms as you pain when i apply pressure to the palm side, hard crimping is the only thing that seems to bother it climbing wise. I want it to heal so now iv'e taken 3 full weeks off no climbing at all and still no improvement at all. I'm a little worried it's not going to get better. If its not getting better in the next week or so I strongly suggest seeing a specialist.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
