The daily camera is trying to charge for articles now, here's the entirety of the article:
A man scaling the First Flatiron on Saturday morning fell 40 feet and sustained serious injuries to his head, leg and arm, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Seth Franco, 21, was taken to Boulder Community Hospital, and his condition is unknown. His injury is the latest in a string of perilous incidents on or near the Flatirons, where rescue crews are called on a nearly daily basis during warmer months.
According to Sheriff's Sgt. Troy Wolf, Franco had been climbing alone and without safety equipment. His fall occurred shortly after 10 a.m., and he reportedly used his cellphone to request help. He was evacuated and treated at Chautauqua Park by Rocky Mountain Rescue and Boulder Fire, before being transported by ambulance.
The crux of the Direct Route is probably about 40 from the stairs.
